Diversifying Michigan's Manufacturing Base

The recent events in the automotive sector have created a critical need for Michigan's manufacturers to become diversified in their customer base.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) has developed a comprehensive strategy to assist Michigan's manufacturers in their diversification efforts. Four industries, including aerospace, defense, wind and medical device, have been identified as growth opportunities. This meeting is an opportunity to introduce local economic developers to those industries and engage your region in the MEDC's diversification efforts.

The first event included industry experts presentations from each of the four targeted sectors. The information shared was to help identify which manufacturers are best suited for these opportunities.
