Art Center of Battle Creek -- Since its founding in 1948, the mission of the Art Center of Battle Creek has been to present high quality programs in the visual arts for the enrichment, education and enjoyment of the citizens of Battle Creek, Michigan and beyond. The Art Center, a non-profit organization is the primary visual arts organization for a service area of some 140,000. It takes seriously its responsibility to serve a diverse constituency and employs a variety of means by which to do so.

The City's excellent schools and transportation system, combined with its unique natural resources and over 1,100 acres of parks, make it an ideal place to live, work and play. The City of Battle Creek created Battle Creek Unlimited (BCU) in 1972 specifically to oversee the marketing and management of the Industrial Park and to assist its companies. Today, BCU's International Office in Fort Custer Industrial Park and BCU's Downtown Office provides comprehensive economic development assistance throughout the City of Battle Creek. Formerly an active military base, Fort Custer Industrial Park is the largest industrial park in Michigan at 3,000 acres. To date, there are over 90 companies located in the Industrial Park employing 9,400 individuals. This world-class Industrial Park is home to 22 international-based companies including 16 Japanese, 4 German, 1 Austrian and 1 Danish company. The Central Business District is home to over 3,300 employees.
